You’re welcome to join our congregation for services as well as other activities! No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, we welcome you into our gathering to engage with Divinity in human form. Here are some things you may want to know…
We don’t claim to be perfect. We don’t expect you to be, either. In fact, we prefer it if you’re not. We are people under construction. We simply come together honestly and earnestly seeking to live God’s will in God’s way.
How do we discover God’s will and way? We’re glad you asked!
God is the prequel of all stories, your story, our story, The Story of All Time. In the beginning was God. God was in the beginning. Thankfully, people just like us knew there was more to life than meets the eye. So throughout time, people started sharing stories and even writing down their experiences and understandings of that “Beyond.” So we look to the ancient wisdom of these writings (known as the Bible), to discover God’s intention. As our pastor says, “We don’t believe the bible is true because someone tells us it’s true. We believe it is true because of how relevant it is to our daily modern lives.”
God desires to know and be known. He wants to share life with us. He does this through creation, which is a reflection of His beauty and power. He does this through relationships with people like Abraham and Esther. He does this through his very Spirit. His presence is with us. But, the piece de resistance (or apex) of God’s revelation is all wrapped up in one person – Jesus, the Christ – God in human form. So, we look to the convergence of Christ, creation and community to discern where and how God is moving. Then, we join in the movement because God invites us into his work.
God doesn’t “need” us. God’s got it all. Seriously, as the Creator, he needs nothing. And unlike many human beings, he’s not a hoarder but a giver. He shares with us. He WANTS US to be part of what he is doing. God is abundantly generous, sharing with his creation his very life. It is out of this abundance that we seek to live. We don’t live a life of scarcity; we desire to be abundantly generous in what we give and receive.
So, come to Grace and receive abundantly by…
- finding sanctuary in worship and prayer on Sundays at 10 a.m.
- participating in something bigger than yourself; bigger than all of us together
- being known and valued, loved and challenged
- learning biblical truths and discovering God’s grace
- acknowledging your imperfection
- seeking Jesus’ transforming love
And come to grace to give generously through…
- expressing your faith in word and deed
- serving our community with us
- knowing, valuing, loving and challenging us
- sharing your story in God’s Story
- loving like Jesus loved each and every day
If you are up for that, we’d love for you to join us in God’s movement.
