Missions

Word from and about Grace’s missionaries.

Sponsors Needed!

If you would like to encourage our youth in their discipleship and service of Jesus, last-minute sponsors for the high school missions trip are needed. The students are journeying this week to Montana to serve with YouthWorks in a rural, reservation town, by leading VBS and doing work projects. Three students still need assistance covering the $260 cost.If you can help, write a check to Grace ECC with “sponsor missions trip” in the memo line and put it in the offering plate, or contact pastormandy(at)gracechurchchicago.org. Thank you

Do Justice

If compassion pulls drowning people out of a river, justice goes up stream to deal with reasons people are being pushed or falling into the river in the first place.

Understand Biblical justice by reading the ECC’s Resource Paper on Compassion, Mercy and Justice and joining in a discussion on Sunday, July 31 following worship.

Then, learn about immigration reform and write Congress (PDF download).

Array

Join us for a summer of service beginning Sunday, June 19th. Each Sunday, learn about “equipment” God gives to protect and prepare us for his work. Accept weekly challenges to do acts of compassion, mercy and justice in Jesus’ name. Participate throughout the summer in service opportunities for all ages!

Fed Sock Collection

Help share the warmth! Bring new socks (all sizes, especially adult sizes) to church throughout February so we can offer them with food to our neighbors who come to Fed at Grace. God’s great compassion is shown in all sorts of small, specific ways- warm socks on cold days is one of them.

Final Hope4Kids Offering

This Sunday, January 9th will be the last chance to donate to Hope4Kids, helping children in Congo, Colombia, India, and Sudan. Make checks payable to: Grace ECC with “Hope4Kids” in the memo line.
