NEED A HAND AROUND THE HOUSE?

The youth are looking for some more donations for their trips this summer. If you have a job you’d like their help with, contact the church office (office@gracechurchchicago.org; (773) 478-0208). We will do our best to organize a team to help; all we ask is for a donation to the cause!

Justice with Grace

Justice with Grace will meet after the morning service on May 31 at 11:45 in the fellowship hall. We will first gather as a larger group, and then break into small groups by our current three areas of focus: 1) Immigration education, reform, and advocacy; 2) Emergency Food Distribution idea and next steps, especially recruiting volunteers for implementation; 3) Ideas for fellowship and connection between the English Grace congregation and Iglesia del Pacto. We will plan to share a light meal so feel free to bring some food to share. Also if you would like child care or have any questions, contact Curt Roeschley.

Volunteer for Kids This Summer

There are two ways to help with Sunday School this summer. 1) Help create crafts for the summer on June 7th, after the service. Lunch is provided. 2) We need help with teachers and helpers each week. If you enjoy working with children and haven’t volunteered before, this is a great time to get started. Commitments are variable from one week to several. Sign up at the back of the church on Sunday or contact Pastor Ryan (pastorryan@gracechurchchicago.org) or Mark Washington (mbaministry@gmail.com).

SENIOR SHARE

A spiritual storytelling group for those over 50. New members are welcome! Come share with others your life stories and how God has been present in your life journey. Our next meeting will be Thursday, April 16, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the Nina Larson Ministry House south of the church building (4159 N. Monticello Ave.). We will continue to meet every third Thursday of the month through November. If you are interested, contact Renee Roeschley for more details at 773-283-4273.

SCHEDULE CHANGE

There will be no regular “Growing with Grace” Adult Formation Class (Sundays at 9 a.m.) for the remainder of April and May.

CHILDREN’S FORMATION

During the second half of the service, children 2 years old through 6th grade receive age-appropriate Christian Education throughout the building. After the service, be sure to ask our children what they have learned in Sunday School.

COVENANT CAMPS

Summer camp registrations are now open for all ages (children, youth and family camps). Check the camps’ websites for more information. Covenant Point Bible Camp: www.cpbc.com; Covenant Harbor: www.covenantharbor.org.
