Prayer Retreat at Botanic Gardens
Join us next Sunday, July 13, to enjoy God’s creation, sit with scripture, and listen to the Lord. We’ll depart immediately following worship and car pool to the Botanic Gardens (www.chicago-botanic.org). Bring a sack lunch, your Bible (and a journal, if you’d like). We will meet at 12:15 in the picnic area between the parking lot and the garden entrance. At 1 p.m., we will enter the gardens for individual or small group prayer time. Guided helps will be available for those who need them. Admission is free. Parking is $15/car. We will return to the church around 4 p.m.
Justice with Grace this Sunday
Justice with Grace will meet this Sunday, June 29, following our worship service at 12:00 noon. We will be meeting with a small group from Iglesia del Pacto, our Spanish speaking sister congregation. We want to begin developing a relationship with them to explore ways of addressing local issues of justice together, and to also discern if small groups from each of our congregations would like to take part in a process called Invitation to Racial Righteousness later this fall. Contact Curt Roeschley at 773-283-4273 or croeschley@juno.com if you have any questions, or if you are planning to come and need child care.
Missions Sunday this Sunday
Leonid and Leanna Regheta, missionaries to Russia, will be speaking this Sunday, June 29. The Missions Committee will be hosting a light luncheon after the service at the NLMH for those wishing to speak further with the Reghetas. Space is limited, so please sign up by Saturday night with Stephanie Goldvarg at 773-727-4850.

Congregational Business Meeting
To the Grace Family:
It has been our privilege to have Alisa Bredensteiner serve as Church Secretary since her election to that office at the Annual Business Meeting in January. However, Alisa is moving on to exciting opportunities in California and as a result has tendered her resignation, effective July 1, 2008. continued »
