On Sunday, November 16th, North Shore Baptist Church, 5244 North Lakewood Ave., will host a Karen American Open House, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. The purpose is to meet and socialize with Chicago’s new Karen refugee community in order to help Karen overcome the challenges of adapting to the city. There will also be traditional Karen foods, woven craft items, Karen music and a history table.
