Would you consider being a part of the 1000+ off-site prayer warriors for the CHIC conference starting on July 12th? If you would like to join us in this way, please sign the sheet at the back of the sanctuary or contact the church office.

It is with great joy that after a season of prayer and discussion, the Strategic Discernment Team has distributed a draft of the church’s new mission and values statements to the Council and other leadership teams for a first round of reviews. Look for these statements to be distributed to the wider church for a second round of reviews later this summer.

The youth are looking for some more donations for their trips this summer. If you have a job you’d like their help with, contact the church office (office@gracechurchchicago.org; (773) 478-0208). We will do our best to organize a team to help; all we ask is for a donation to the cause!

Getting our heartbeats in rhythm with God’s heartbeat is a goal of the Christian life. We want our will to align with God’s will. We need to make His desires ours. David was known as a man after God’s own heart. This summer we will learn about having a divine pulse from Israel’s great king.

This Sunday, we start our summer Sunday school program which will look at the life of David. Children from age 2 through 5th grade will begin by gathering in the fellowship room in the basement. From there, they will divide into two age groups (age 2-Kindergarten & 1st-5th grade). The younger children will meet in the south classroom downstairs; the older children will meet in the north classroom. Parents – thanks for your understanding as we implement this new program.
